A Visit to Historical Washington Navy Yard
"The history of the Navy Yard is the history of our country," declared Jim Carey, a docent for the National Museum of the United States Navy. On Saturday, June 28th, 17 service members and family members joined organizers Kirsten Arnold and Laura Waayers (who are also YRF volunteers) on a memorable trip through the Navy Yard, including the new Cold War Gallery, and the USS Barry, a Cold War-era destroyer.
