Yellow Ribbon Fund Mourns Death of Scotty Glacken, President and Chief Executive Officer

Jim Bugg, Sr., Chairman of the Board of Yellow Ribbon Fund, Inc. announced sadly the untimely passing on December 27, 2006, of our President and Chief Executive Officer, E. Scott Glacken. “Only a few short weeks ago, we elected Scotty, so full of life and such enthusiasm for the Yellow Ribbon Fund that we were sure we had found the person who could take this young organization to the next level. We will miss him terribly.”

The Yellow Ribbon Fund’s Board of Directors had elected Scotty Glacken the President and Chief Executive Officer at its meeting on October 12, 2006. Scotty had just completed the transition of the organization to its new offices at 7200 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland. He had begun reorganization of our programs and was just beginning an effort to establish a national extension of our Mentorship and Internship Program.

Scotty joined the Yellow Ribbon Fund after a very successful career as an executive in the financial services industry, most recently as Managing Director of Emerging Markets Partnership (now BMP Global, L.L.C.), with responsibility for five emerging markets institutional investor funds ($5.7 billion under management). Scotty’s success in business was matched on the football field, first as a star player in high school, college and the National Football League and then as a coach at Georgetown University.

The Board of Directors of the Yellow Ribbon Fund join thousands of Scotty’s fans in the Washington Metropolitan Area expressing our support for Margaret, their three daughters and eight grandchildren. Scotty’s legacy includes many whom he coached and mentored, including Gen. George W. Casey, Jr., Chief of Staff, U.S. Army.
